The Center for Wellness and Weight Loss Surgery offers a pre-surgical wellness program for those patients seeking bariatric surgery. The program consists of six modules that are presented in individual and group discussions. These modules are designed to help patients develop the tools necessary to achieve their weight loss goals. All patients begin with a nutritional assessment with our Bariatrician and are placed on a specific pre-surgical plan.

Through behavioral modification techniques, the program addresses many of the issues that interfere with one's ability to lose weight (i.e. stress and emotional eating, and hunger control). These visits also include discussions on ways to incorporate physical activity into a busy lifestyle. Patients have access to the Center's online food journal where they can keep track of their progress. During this time, patients are referred to various health care providers for the completion of required tests and evaluations prior to surgery. Finally, our knowledgeable staff is readily available to assist patients with all of their pre-surgical needs.
